Polka-dots and Ankle Booties

Polka dots! I am obsessed with polka dots this year! It is so versatile when it comes to styling, it can be innocent and carefree for lunch with friends or sophisticated and mature enough for the work place.

In todays posting I am pairing a beautiful long sleeved-silk polka dot with a red pair of ankle pants for pop of color. To me, polka dots can be treated as a neutral, where you can use colors and layers to dress it up or down.

And these beautiful brown stacked heel, bucked ankle bootie makes it a summer-must with sassy peep-toe cutout. Also, I love the range of versatility of these shoes spanning from spring to fall. And when it comes to this outfit, it really does act as the anchor.

I love to read as much as I love polka dots! So, a part of my daily routine consists of reading at least a few pages of a book. I have been reading Dresden Files recently, after watching the video episodes on Hulu. It really is an interesting read, if you enjoy fantasy genre. But most importantly, reading is very therapeutic for me and lifts my worries right off.

Furthermore, what better way to include this lovely habit into my daily routine than to read a book at the park, at the end of a hectic day of work. This little habit works miracles and cleanses my mind of the work-stresses and worries. That way, when I get home, I am completely refreshed and ready to enjoy my time with my family. So, as you can tell, I am trying to incorporate ‘being in the moment,’ strategy into my life.

Do you have any habits that you have formed, in order to bring serenity into your life and keep you grounded? I would love to hear about them.

Thank you so much for reading!
